As an architect, I have been working with Merida Brothers Construction since 2006 on projects that range from small renovations to major additions. Willy and Jose Merida stand out as the most honest and hard-working contractors I have ever met in my 35 year career. The quality of their workmanship coupled with their reasonable prices have brought them the respect and gratitude of the clients on the dozen or so projects we have worked on together. We are writing on behalf of Willy who was our contractor involved in two major renovations at our house in Cambridge last year. The first project involved converting one bath into two, with closets, major construction. He excelled in all areas of deconstruction, carpentry, all aspects of the bathroom from tile to installation of equipment. The project lasted about 7 1/2 weeks. They completed all areas in a timely fashion with excellent work and were unbelievably cooperative with the constant changes that we had to make on site. It included painting, trim work, floors, everything but plumbing and electrical. <br>Our second project, was a total renovation of our kitchen, which was approximately several weeks and he was involved with the desconstruction, installation of floor, tile, stove hood, painting. Once again, all work was done within the timeframe and price range that we had negotiated. Overall, Willy and his team are very easy to work with, polite, knowledgeable, friendly and do exceptional work at what we think, a very fair price. We would highly recommend Willy and his team for any construction project!

My wife and I were fortunate to have the Merida Brothers as contractors for our Cambridge renovation ten years ago. Willie and Jose were responsible for an extensive program of interior work, including a complete relocated kitchen, two and a half new bathrooms, an upstairs laundry and bedroom alterations. I used the Merida Brothers for three major renovation projects in our Newton home. I could not be more pleased. They were timely, smart, efficient, and remarkably talented. Not only did they execute the agreed upon architectural plans to specifications, but they went above and beyond with input and insight about what would work well in our home. They diligently sourced appropriate materials which fit the look and feel of our old Victorian (for example helping find the right mouldings and finishings in an affordable way). Willy and Jose were also just lovely people. They handled every aspect of our renovation with smile and humor. Their prices were exceedingly fair for the quality of work. I feel so lucky to have been able to work with them. The projects were a kitchen and two bathrooms. Willy and Jose also did some custom built-ins for me of their own design (cubbies and storage in my front hall).
